Flood Risk Mapping Using GIS and Multi-Criteria Analysis at Nanga Pinoh West Kalimantan Area

Flood is one of the disasters that often hit various regions in Indonesia, specifically West Kalimantan. The floods Nanga Pinoh District, Melawi Regency, submerged 18 villages and thousands houses. Therefore, this study aimed to map flood risk areas their environmental impact. Secondary data on slope, total rainfall, flow density, soil type, land cover analyzed with multi-criteria GIS analysis were used. results showed location had low, medium, high risks. It was found high, prone, low class are 1,515.95 ha, 30,194.92 21,953.80 3.14 respectively. These findings implied approach effective tools for maps helpful anticipating greater losses mitigating disasters.
